Misc: Nova rear with coil over shocks, Nova sub frame, aluminum mufflers and exhaust, Coker wide white walls 275R15, rear quarters arched and filled, and to achieve the clean lines at the rear, a trunk lid was adapted from a '51 Buick, rear pan was rolled to fit a one-piece front bumper of a '57 Plymouth, taillight lenses were hand-formed, custom Scallop air scoops were carved into the hood, headlights frenched and peaked, hood character lines were highlighted, theme carrying into a frenched effect around the grille teeth. The front bumper was given the "Dagmar" treatment, using a pair of bullets from a '54 Packard. Metal work and paint by Bill Reasoner. Removable Carson top built by Dick Dean, who chopped the windshield posts three inches. The paint is a House of Kolors custom black/purple mix.
Interior: It is a work of art by itself. The center console and back seat are custom built. The swivel front bucket seats came from a Monte Carlo. The remaining interior, console, rear seats, and panels, are all handmade and covered in custom white pearl leather with purple highlights. Looking at the pictures you can see the detail and work that defines the beauty of this custom classic. A Kick-Ass! Classic.
Awards: Won numerous awards over the years. At the 1995 Sacramento Autorama, it took home "Best of Show", "Best Radical Convertible", and the coveted "Harold Bagdasarian Award", acknowledging it as the "World's Most Beautiful Custom". Has also been awarded "America's Most Beautiful Custom Roadster" at the Oakland Roadster Show and the "Steve Sanford Artist's Choice Award", "Good Guys Lone Star U.S. Radiator Best Custom" title, featured in many magazine articles in the United States and Europe, such as American Rodder, Classic Custom, Lead Sleds, and Custom Rodder.
