1955 Chevrolet Sedan
Added: 7-29-2003 Location: Illinois, United States
- Engine: 402 ci. big block, bored 60 over, 12 to 1 compression, Competition brand 292 h hyd. cam w/ roller tip rockers, and a gear drive, Holley 750 double pump carb., Edlebrock Performer intake, Harwood fuel cell, high volume fuel pump.
- Trans.: Turbo 400 w/ stall converter, Hurst ratchet shifter.
- Misc.: The exterior look's pretty stock at first glance, but by looking a little closer you will see 12" by 29" tall Mickey Thompson tire's on Crager wheels and a narrowed 12 bolt rear end running 4.56 gear and Mark Williams axles. The rear end is held in place with Morrison coil over's, ladder link's, and a panhard bar. The fenderwells were moved in 6" to allow room for the tires. The front end was replaced with a late model Camaro sub with power disk brakes, power steering, and a tilt steering colum. The original steel hood, front bumper, and fenders are bolted together as one unit that pulls forward and then tilts forward, for ease of maintenance and the whole front clip will come off in 5 minutes if needed.
